Illini Fire Equipment
Illini Fire Equipment was established in 1957 by Walter Carlson. Always a family owned and operated business, it is now operated by Harold and Janet Scharlau. In 1967 we moved from 1105A W. Main to 2801 N. Lincoln Avenue - Urbana, IL. We carry a large inventory of fire and safety equipment for our industrial customers and fire departments. We have mobile service vehicles to service hand portable fire extinguishers in the field. Our shop facility is DOT certified to hydro-statically test high pressure and low pressure cylinders.
We have two branch offices. We opened our Bloomington branch in 1986. This facility is located at 1709 W. Washington - Bloomington, Illinois. Our second satellite was opened in 1991 and is located at 804 E. Maple - Robinson, Illinois. Both satellites offer on-site as well as in shop fire extinguisher sales and service.
